Vintage Gold Metal Frames with Grey or G15 Polarised Lenses

The Safari is a vintage inspired aviator with gold metal frames. Available with either dark grey or G15 green polarised lenses, depending on the look you're after

Gold frames bring a bit of warmth and a vintage feel that you don't get from silver or black metal frames. They pair nicely with neutral tones and have a slightly retro character without trying too hard

Grey lenses keep colours looking natural and true to life, while the G15 option adds a soft green tint that's been used in classic aviators for years. Both are solid choices, it comes down to personal preference

Category 3 polarised lenses are rated for the toughest NZ conditions. Driving long stretches, walking the dog at midday, weekends spent out on the boat. They take the sting out of strong light

Quality hinges keep the metal arms feeling solid through daily use. They open and close cleanly and won't go floppy after a few months of regular wear

Light on the face thanks to the metal build. Good for long days when you want eyewear you can forget you're wearing

An aviator that suits a range of faces and works just as well for road trips, walks through town, or relaxing in the sun

Size 14 cm horizontal width x 4.9 cm vertical height

Category 3 Polarised Aviators for the NZ Sun

Polarised Lenses

New Zealand sun is some of the most intense in the world, and standard tinted lenses only solve part of the problem. They darken the view but leave the glare. iPOP polarised lenses have a built-in glare-filtering layer that targets the specific type of light that causes the problem in the first place.

How polarised lenses work

Glare happens when sunlight bounces off a flat surface, water, wet roads, a car bonnet and hits your eyes as a concentrated horizontal beam. Your eyes struggle to process it, so you squint, strain, and lose visual detail in the process. Polarised lenses block that horizontal light before it reaches your eyes, so surfaces become readable again rather than a wall of reflected brightness. On a typical New Zealand summer day, the difference is noticeable within minutes of putting them on.

Where it makes a real difference

Driving Cuts glare off wet roads and oncoming windscreens so you're not squinting into the morning sun
Fishing and water See below the surface instead of staring at a mirror of reflected sky
Beach and outdoors Reduces the all-day eye fatigue that builds up when everything around you is reflecting light
Sport and activity Sharper contrast and truer colours so you can read terrain, track movement and react faster
