The right accessories make a real difference to how long your sunglasses last. Most scratched lenses come from being tossed loose in a bag or pocket, not from wearing them. A microfibre case takes ten seconds to use and prevents most of that damage.

Sunglasses Pouches and Cases

Every pair of iPOP eyewear comes with a free microfibre case included. It's soft enough not to scratch the lenses and doubles as a cleaning cloth, useful for a quick wipe when you're out. Keep your sunglasses in it when you're not wearing them and they'll last considerably longer than if they're rattling around loose.

Protect Your Sunglasses: Essential Maintenance

Salt spray from the ocean and dust from the trail both need to come off properly, not just wiped with whatever's nearby. Rinse under clean tap water first, then dry and polish with the microfibre cloth. Wiping dry lenses with a dirty cloth is one of the most common ways people scratch their own lenses without realising it.

If you're active outdoors, like kayaking, hiking, fishing or cycling, a sunglass cord is worth having. Keeps your frames around your neck when you take them off rather than on a surface somewhere. Simple, cheap, saves you losing or sitting on a pair you actually like.
